Qur’an and Hadith Studies
Mission of the Group:
The mission of the Qur’an and Hadith Studies Group is to promote Qur’anic culture and teachings with an emphasis on the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and to study and analyze contemporary intellectual issues of the modern world from the perspective of the Holy Qur’an, with particular emphasis on authentic and reliable narrations (Hadith).
Objectives and Responsibilities of the Research Group include:

Producing and expanding the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in the fields of Qur’anic studies and exegesis, in accordance with the research needs of the contemporary world.

Re-examining and researching issues related to the application of the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in reflective (tadabbur-based) understanding of the Qur’an, based on the principle of the Two Weighty Things (al-Thaqalayn).

Deepening and developing knowledge of the foundations, principles, and interpretive methodologies of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), including the translation of their Qur’anic exegetical teachings into major world languages.

Expanding and deepening interdisciplinary studies aimed at knowledge production in Qur’anic studies, with an emphasis on narrations.

Reviving the Qur’anic and narrational exegetical heritage of Shiʿa scholars and intellectual elites.

Conducting research on scholarly issues in the field of Qur’anic studies, in a manner appropriate to the understanding of international audiences.

Identifying the scholarly needs and priorities of academic and cultural institutions worldwide, with a particular focus on the Islamic world, in order to provide Qur’an-centered academic services and to foster cooperation with related research centers for scholarly synergy.

Researching, explaining, and critically assessing Islamic sciences and teachings, and presenting systematic exegetical studies based on the Qur’an and Hadith.

Reviving Prophetic and Imamic (Wilāʾī) methods and traditions in conceptualization, reflection, and interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an.

Providing well-reasoned and well-documented responses to questions and doubts related to Qur’anic studies and exegesis.
